iKapa Dance Theatre is a repertoire company producing uniquely South African contemporary dance works that explore relevant and current themes appealing to a range of audiences. From theatres and stages nationally and internationally to the local township communities from which many our dancers have come from, iKapa Dance Theatre’s works are universally relevant, appealing and entertaining.

The company has always looked for ways to inculcate positive change in its audiences, dancers and students and continues to do so every day. This ambition has steered the company into creating productions that are socially relevant and communicate issues affecting the broader South African community, particularly the youth.

The performing company is made up of local professional dancers and the team produces and performs two to three main seasons throughout the year.

The Company has performed throughout South Africa as well as the UK, USA, Mozambique and Zimbabwe and will be extending its reach even further in 2012.
