What is iKAPA
For those of you who don’t know ikapa was originally established and registered as a Non-profit organisation in July 2007. Since then founders and artistic directors, Theo Ndindwa and Tanya Arshamian have grown the company and thus far it is living up to the philosophies and ideologies that it was founded upon. Some of the values that we believe strongly in and passionately about are the following:

The company aims to create a fusion with different dance styles- mainly to draw inspiration from South African tribal dance and to infuse it into classical ballet. This cross fusion lends itself to works that are always unique and adventurous. The works are aimed at entertaining and delighting South Africans and patrons of the arts from all walks of life.
Through dance Ikapa aims to encourage, empower, educate and entertain their audiences, yet at the end of the day still produce a dance experience that is pleasurable, original in dance style and proudly South African.
